this is awesome, zeb! foggy, cold day, a skeletal tree on a lonely hilltop. beautiful. if i had taken this shot i would have screwed up the angle to where the branches drooped down into the hill. you noticed this detail and got it perfect! well done.
Zebigleb: Thank you Alex I appreciate your comment. In fact I notice this tree driving my car back home and stop at the edge of the road to take the shot from my car
Beautiful photo, Zeb. I love the gentle curve of the hill and lovely, simple palette. I have often had that same thought about trees. We have a lot of old grown trees on the island and some of us are fierce in protecting them. Well done!
Zebigleb: Hi Suzanne, it's very important to protect old trees, bravo !
Thank you for your nice comment here
very peaceful
Zebigleb: Once again : Thank you - I appreciate your regular visits and your friendship even if my too busy weeks don't let me enough time to visit your blog each day
C'est classique!
Zebigleb: Merci
You are getting all sentimental with the blushing pink here and your words.
Great picture, especially i love the lines.
Zebigleb: Thank you Louis you're a great friend indeed
Ansel Adams is back...great shot.
Zebigleb: Lol, a bit too much no ?
Anyway thank you my friend !
L'originalité vient du traitement de l'image.
Bravo. Yvon. (Belgique)
Zebigleb: Merci Yvon cela me fait toujours plaisir d'avoir ta visite
Salut Zeb et bonne année à toi !
Très joli cet arbre... y d'vait pas faire chaud là-haut dis donc !
Zebigleb: Bonne année Roland et surtout bonne santé et plein de belles images
Merci de ta visite !
Zeb I love this.
Zebigleb: Hi Johnny, I'm glad you like it
I like the mood this image creates...nice shot!
Zebigleb: Thank you VERY much
This is when Joyce Kilmer's poem is so perfect....
"I think that I shall never see A poem lovely as a tree. A tree whose hungry mouth is prest Against the earth's sweet flowing breast; A tree that looks at God all day, And lifts her leafy arms to pray; A tree that may in Summer wear A nest of robins in her hair; Upon whose bosom snow has lain; Who intimately lives with rain. Poems are made by fools like me, But only God can make a tree."
Hi Zebi
the thing is, trees do speek, we are just not able anymore to hear them..., it is a great shot, so silent and so much dignity, there is much to learn for us from trees Diya
Lovely
A fine piece of work; I wish I'd done it!
Zebigleb: Thank you for visiting and this nice comment
You might not like me for saying this but having found the perfect tree and the perfect background and processing it perfectly I think the crop is too close. For me the majesty of the tree in dominating it's surroundings would be better shown by giving it just a little more space , it feels too close to me. Sorry but I still do love it. Maybe it's close enough to return to or maybe you've already shot a few versions and prefer this one?
Regards, Simon
Zebigleb: In fact I'm totally ok with this comment, but the shot was like that (I mean the frame) and too late to go back there, it's no far from my home but the frost is gone and I've to wait (or pray) to get the same view
!Qué bonito árbol para una magnífica foto!:justo como la tuya.
Zebigleb: Muchas gracias mio amigo
