Pendant les travaux...

Post NT 012

Série : My Paris 009

Most of the "Passage" Were done during the XVIII th and XIX th century. They were about 120 at the end of XIXth century and now only 24 of them are still existing. As you can see on this picture, some of them needs heavy restoration. Good news : There is a program for that thanks to the City.

Oh and today is my birthday :Twenty years old and a little bit more (I never remember how much) Feel free to send me one of the bottle of the previous post

This is what shopping mall were like before some "clever" person took the idea and upsized into into the monstrous barns most cities have these days.

I hope the city does not let go of the remaining 24, Zebigleb.

[I remember there were 2 of these covered lanes in melbourne, Australia, and they were among my favourite places to stroll during work lunch break.]
Zebigleb: Agree. Maybe in the future...
Wonderful passage - I'm glad the city has a program to care for these!
Happy Happy Birthday! If you're only 20 - you're not legal to drink... smile

It is an interesting concept. Everyone likes old building, with these decorations. If everyone likes it, why don't they build them anymore? Eish!
